YSGOL Y GYFRAITH A GWLEIDYDDIAETH

Celebrating 50 Years of Law (1970-2020) and 120 years of Politics (1900-2020) at Cardiff University

We are celebrating 50 years of Cardiff’ University’s renowned Law School in 2021, which was merged in 2014 with the highly respected Politics and International Relations department. In the same year, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the renowned Journal of Law and Society, which has had a home here at Cardiff since 1974. Borne out of inspiration for a new style of scholarship among a generation of young scholars seeking an alternative to doctrinal legal scholarship, the JLS is now established as the leading British periodical for socio-legal studies. Read more about the history of the Journal and its 40th anniversary here.
